If you're an experienced Product Owner with a background in Business Analysis and a passion for software applications and digital transformation, this is your opportunity to work on high-impact projects, shape the future of mobility, and drive real change.


Responsibilities:

  • Gathering & Defining Business Requirements – Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams to identify, document, and refine business needs.
  • Shaping System Requirements & Product Features – Define product requirements, create functional specifications, and guide development teams through execution.
  • Product Backlog Management – Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business impact and customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Engineering Teams – Work closely with developers, system architects, and UX designers to bring product vision to life.
  • Testing & Customer Acceptance – Ensure that features meet business requirements through testing and validation, guiding clients through acceptance testing.
  • Driving Product Enhancements – Continuously improve our transport ticketing solutions, ensuring alignment with compliance, regulatory standards, and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication – Keep internal teams and customers informed on project progress, new releases, and product enhancements.
  • Pre-Sales & Tender Support – Assist in tender processes, gap analysis, and product evolution discussions.
  • Training & Documentation – Provide product training, maintain up-to-date documentation, and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst / Product Owner in a Software Development environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing the full product lifecycle – from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Strong functional documentation skills – ability to write detailed functional specs, workflows, and user stories.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies – experience in Scrum teams, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, high-impact product features.
  • Outstanding communication & stakeholder engagement skills – comfortable working with cross-functional teams across South Africa, France, and the UK.
  • Tech-Savvy & Analytical Mindset – Understanding of software development processes, APIs, and system integrations.

Bonus Skills (Advantageous):

  • Experience in the transport ticketing industry (AFC / Automated Fare Collection Systems).
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other requirements management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of French (an added advantage).
  • Previous experience in pre-sales & tender support.
